Our Story

How Provenare Began

Provenare grew out of a simple observation: many families in Thailand and across Southeast Asia hold important documents in scattered drawers, ageing folders, or simply in memory โ€” and do not quite know where to start when it comes to bringing those records together in a sensible way.

The company was established in Chiang Mai, a city known for its thoughtful pace and its deep respect for family and tradition. From a small office on Tha Phae Road, we began offering an inheritance-education course designed for people who had encountered confusing terminology around estate matters and wanted a plain-language explanation โ€” not a lecture, not a sales pitch.

That course led to requests for something more hands-on: help actually gathering and arranging the papers that had been discussed. The Family Document Folio Service came directly from those conversations. And as we worked with families on their documents, we heard again and again that what people most wanted to preserve was not just paperwork but the stories behind it โ€” the names, the decisions, the things passed down across generations. That brought the Story Keeper Workshop into being.

Provenare is not a legal firm. We do not administer estates, and we do not offer regulated financial or legal advice. What we offer is steady, practical support at the edges of those processes โ€” the parts that involve understanding, organising, and recording what your family holds.

The name Provenare reflects our core concern: provenance โ€” knowing where things come from, and keeping that knowledge findable.

How We Work

Our Working Standards

Discretion as a Standard

Any documents, family details, or personal information shared with us remain entirely confidential. We do not pass information to third parties, and all digital files are stored on encrypted systems with limited access.

Clear Scope, Honest Limits

We are explicit about what our services cover and what they do not. Where a client's needs extend into legal or regulated territory, we say so clearly and suggest appropriate avenues.

Responsive Communication

We respond to all enquiries within one working day. Sessions are structured around the client's schedule, and follow-up questions after a session are always welcome.

Neutral, Non-Directive Guidance

Our education and facilitation services offer information and structure, not opinions about what families should decide. Decisions remain entirely with the families we support.

Tested, Reviewed Materials

All course content, templates, and workshop prompts are reviewed regularly to ensure accuracy, relevance, and readability. We revise materials whenever processes or terminology change.

Sensitivity to Family Dynamics

We recognise that discussions about family records, history, and inheritance can raise personal and emotional considerations. Our facilitators approach every session with care and without pressure.

Our Expertise

Estate Organisation & Heritage Preservation in Thailand

Provenare occupies a particular space in family support services in Thailand. We are not solicitors, estate administrators, or financial advisers. Instead, we focus on the preparatory and educational work that makes those formal processes less daunting: understanding the concepts, gathering the paperwork, and recording the personal history that sits alongside the legal record.

Families in Chiang Mai and across northern Thailand often hold a mix of Thai and international documents โ€” birth records, property titles, bank correspondence, photographs, and personal effects โ€” that have accumulated over generations without ever being formally organised. Our folio service was designed specifically for that situation.

The inheritance education course draws on general explanations of how inheritance processes work under common legal frameworks, always noting that formal legal steps require appropriately qualified local professionals. It is suitable for adults at any stage of life who want to understand the subject better, whether they are thinking about their own records or helping a parent or grandparent.

The Story Keeper Workshop reflects our view that heritage preservation is not only about documents. It is also about the knowledge, relationships, and personal values held by individuals โ€” things that can be recorded and passed on with care, but which do not fit neatly into any legal folder.
